Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 July 2026 (draft) · Version 2026-07-25-draft
By ticking "I have read and agree" during device setup, you ("you", "the user") accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not complete setup — you may return the device under section 9.
1. What you are buying
FlyFrame is a wall-mounted electronic information display (an e-paper screen, housing, and an ESP32 controller). You are buying hardware. The FlyFrame firmware is provided to you free of charge as part of the product; it is licensed, not sold (section 7).
FlyFrame is a multi-function display. It shows weather, world clocks, aviation milestones (“on this day”), and quotes — none of which need any flight-data service — and it can optionally also display information about aircraft near a location you choose, if you connect a data source yourself.
FlyFrame does not include, bundle, resell, or operate any flight-data service. Out of the box the device is not configured with any flight-data source and will not display live aircraft until you choose and configure one yourself (section 3). The device is useful without ever connecting a flight-data source.
2. Not a safety or navigational device
FlyFrame is for personal interest and entertainment. It is not an air-traffic, navigational, safety, or operational aircraft-tracking system, and must not be relied upon for any such purpose. Aircraft information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.
3. Data sources are chosen and configured by you
To display live aircraft, you select a third-party data provider (for example a public flight-data API, a data feed you subscribe to, or your own local ADS-B receiver) and enter any credentials required. You choose the provider; we do not choose it for you, and we do not operate a data feed on your behalf unless you specifically select and subscribe to an optional FlyFrame-operated feed (section 4).
You are solely responsible for: (1) selecting a data provider and obtaining any account, subscription, key, or licence that provider requires; (2) reading and complying with that provider's own terms of use, licence, and any usage restrictions — including any restriction on non-commercial, research, operational, or automated use; and (3) ensuring you have the right to use that provider's data in the way you choose to use it with your device.
We make no representation about any third-party provider, its terms, its availability, or whether any particular use is permitted. Your relationship with a third-party provider is solely between you and that provider; we are not a party to it. Any information we provide about providers is for your awareness only and is not advice or a recommendation.
When your device retrieves data from a provider you configured, that use of the provider's service is your own use — including any continuous, automated, or “operational” use, and any account, credential, subscription, or licence the provider may require for it.
4. Optional FlyFrame-operated feed
We may offer an optional paid data feed operated by FlyFrame that you can select instead of configuring your own provider. Where you choose that feed, we provide the data under a separate subscription and its own terms. This is optional; the device functions with your own chosen provider without it.
5. Firmware updates
We may make firmware updates available (including over the air). Updates may add, change, or remove features. You are responsible for keeping the device connected if you wish to receive updates. We do not guarantee that any feature will remain available indefinitely, including compatibility with any particular third-party provider.
6. Privacy
To provide the product we process limited data such as a device identifier and the approximate location you set (stored at reduced precision). Any provider credentials you enter are stored to operate your device. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party provider you choose.
7. Firmware licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the FlyFrame firmware as installed on your device, for your own personal use with that device. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the firmware except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law. The firmware is provided free of charge and “as is”.
8. Warranty and liability
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms. Subject to those rights: (1) the hardware carries the warranty required by law and any additional warranty we state at purchase; (2) live aircraft information depends on third-party data outside our control — we do not warrant its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability, and we are not liable for any third-party provider's acts, omissions, terms, charges, suspension, or termination of your access; (3) to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss arising from your choice of or use of a third-party provider, or loss arising from your non-compliance with a provider's terms. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Returns
If you do not agree to these Terms, or change your mind, you may return the device in accordance with our Returns Policy and applicable consumer law (including any statutory cooling-off period).
10. Your responsibility for your device
Once delivered, the device is your property. You are responsible for how you configure and use it, including which data provider you connect and whether your use complies with that provider's terms and with applicable law. You agree not to use the device for any unlawful purpose.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for future purchases or for material changes to the service. The version you accepted at setup applies to your device unless you accept a newer version.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
Acceptance: ticking “I have read and agree to the FlyFrame Terms & Conditions” during setup records your acceptance of the version shown to you at that time.
